XML Sitemap Generator
Generate XML sitemaps from URL lists with proper formatting and download options.
The XML Sitemap Generator creates a valid sitemap.xml from a list of URLs. Paste your URLs one per line, the tool validates them and outputs a ready-made sitemap you can copy or download.
How it works
- Paste your URLs into the input field, one per line. Each URL needs the protocol (https:// or http://).
- The tool validates the URLs automatically and excludes invalid entries.
- Copy the generated XML sitemap or download it as sitemap.xml.
When to create a sitemap manually
Not every CMS generates a sitemap automatically. Static sites, microsites or single-page apps often lack one. The generator also helps when you want only a subset of pages in the sitemap, for example after a migration or when building a new section.
The generated sitemap includes a lastmod date (today), changefreq (weekly) and priority (0.8) for each URL. The stats show how many URLs are valid and invalid and how large the file is.
FAQ
What format does the tool output?
An XML file following the sitemaps.org protocol. It contains the urlset element with namespace and one url entry per valid URL.
What happens with invalid URLs?
URLs without http:// or https:// are excluded. The tool lists them separately and counts them in the stats.
How large can an XML sitemap be?
Google accepts sitemaps up to 50 MB uncompressed and a maximum of 50,000 URLs. The file size is shown after generation.
