The Schema.org Markup Generator creates JSON-LD code for 13 schema types: Article, Organization, Product, FAQ, Event, Recipe, JobPosting, Person, LocalBusiness, BreadcrumbList, WebSite, VideoObject and HowTo. Pick a type, fill in the fields and copy the finished markup into your page's head section.

How it works

  1. Select a schema type from the dropdown, for example Organization, Product or FAQ.
  2. Fill in the required fields. Optional data like social URLs, ratings or nutrition info is in the collapsible sections.
  3. Click "Generate JSON-LD". Copy the code or download it as a file.

Which schema types does the generator support?

13 types. For e-commerce, Product (with price, availability, aggregate rating) and LocalBusiness (with opening hours and geo coordinates) are the most common. Publishers use Article or BlogPosting. FAQ generates the structure for FAQ rich snippets in Google Search. JobPosting covers job listings, Recipe includes nutrition and cooking fields. Each type has its own required and optional fields.

The output is pure JSON-LD in a script tag, the format Google recommends for structured data.

FAQ

What format does the generator output?

JSON-LD wrapped in a script tag. Copy it into the head section of your page. Google recommends JSON-LD over Microdata and RDFa.

How many schema types are available?

13 types, from Article and Organization to Product, FAQ, Recipe, JobPosting and VideoObject. Each type has dedicated required fields and optional sections you can expand.

Should I validate the markup before going live?

Yes. Paste the generated code into Google's Rich Results Test. It checks syntax, required fields and whether the markup qualifies for rich snippets in search results.
