CTR Calculator
Calculates Click-Through Rate (CTR).
The CTR Calculator computes the click-through rate from impressions and clicks. Enter both values and the tool shows your CTR as a percentage, a rating and benchmarks for Google Ads, Facebook, display and email.
How it works
- Enter the number of impressions and clicks.
- The result appears automatically (or on click if you turn off auto-calculate).
- Compare your CTR with the benchmarks below.
How to calculate and interpret your CTR
The formula: CTR = (clicks / impressions) x 100. The tool displays it with your actual numbers so you can verify the calculation.
The rating gives you a quick assessment: above 5% the tool calls it excellent, 3% to 5% great, 1% to 3% good. Below 0.5% there is room for improvement. These are guidelines, not absolutes, because typical CTR varies by channel.
FAQ
How is CTR calculated?
CTR = (clicks divided by impressions) times 100. With 250 clicks and 10,000 impressions you get a CTR of 2.50%.
What is a good CTR?
It depends on the channel. Google Search Ads typically range from 2% to 5%, display ads from 0.05% to 0.10%. The benchmarks in the tool show the common ranges.
Can clicks exceed impressions?
No. The tool shows an error message if clicks are higher than impressions.
